Dear Valrico Families,
We wrapped up our Beginning of Year (BOY) assessments this week, and we appreciate all of the hard work our students put forth. These assessments are simply a starting point and help us understand where students are academically so we can tailor instruction to meet their needs. Remember, students are not expected to have mastered the year's content yet. Growth is our goal, and these results help us chart the path forward.
We are also excited to announce that our Read-A-Thon begins next week! As our PTSO's biggest fundraiser, the Read-A-Thon combines two things we love: reading and supporting our school community. Watch for more details about reading challenges, incentives, and prizes. Funds raised this year will be used to upgrade our STEM Lab and enhance our teachers' lounge, creating even better spaces for learning and collaboration. We can't wait to see our students read their way to success!
